Connected Parenting: An essential one-day course suitable for parents, carers and childminders
Learn how to make connection your top priority, share power in your family and inspire open dialogue that promotes mutual understanding.
“𝐼𝑓 𝑤𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑, 𝑤𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑛 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑛.” – Gandhi
We love our children, yet sometimes we struggle to parent in ways we feel good about. We long for a way to do things different but just don’t know how.We try to teach them right from wrong and set boundaries that we think are important for their care and learning, and sometimes it can feel like we are constantly managing their behaviour. Or we give them everything they need and forget to take care of ourselves. Either way we can end up exhausted and depleted and less able to experience the joy of connecting with our children and seeing them grow.
We will explore topics such as:
§ Understanding power struggles – how to stop battling with your children
§ Finding alternatives to punishment and reward
§ Connecting to your Core parenting values
§ The pros and cons of please and thank you
§ Squabbling, hitting and saying sorry
§ Taking care of you (so you can care for them)
§ A basic framework for understanding and communicating with love
